Bitcoin Olympic Rules
Prizes: Winners are chosen by judges. Prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash. Prize distribution is managed by sponsors, not organizers. Each team can only qualify for one prize pool.

Prizes Unlock Terms*: The prize money fully activates when we have over 1000 participants: If we have less than 1000 participants for the Bitcoin Olympics - Online Hackathon, then only 50% of the prize money will be activated. Also, each individual prize requires 6 qualified project submissions to activate. Example: If a prize pool has 3 prizes, then a minimum of 18 qualified project submission are required to unlock all 3 prizes. Final decision is made by each prize sponsor.

Language: Must be conversationally fluent in English and submit an English pitch video.
Ownership: You own your developments; third-party materials remain with their owners.
Conduct: Behave professionally, respect others, and create an inclusive environment. We have the right to exclude a participant for any reason.
Eligibility: Must be 18+, teams of 2-4 members (solo founders are encouraged to apply and find teammates via our Discord). Each participant can only be on one team. To maximize the chances of your team winning, make sure to have at least 1 business minded teammate and 1 tech minded teammate!
Original and Novel: Only new code will be accepted (Aug 5 - Aug 30).

Ineligible Regions: All participants welcome unless living in Brazil, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Quebec, Russia, and Syria are not eligible. We are not permitted to award prizes to these regions.

Confidentiality: Do not share confidential or proprietary information; organizers are not responsible for protecting IP rights.

Privacy: By registering, you consent to the use of your personal information as per the event’s privacy policy, including sharing with sponsors.
